OutDoor by ISPO 2022 update

Discovering product innovations, experiencing brands and, finally, meeting the industry in person again: Kicking off the ordering season under the motto "Celebrating the Outdoors - Let's shape the future of our industry. Together", OutDoor by ISPO will finally take place live and on site again from 12 to 14 June in Munich.

This year the central meeting of the outdoor industry will use the spaces of the MOC Veranstaltungs- und Order centre München as a one-off happening. Exhibitors and brands will present themselves to the trade public in four halls as well as showrooms, atria and several open areas. A place to discover new products, make contacts and explore innovative and visionary paths into the future of the outdoor industry - together, hand in hand.

An absolute novelty this time are four product worlds at the fair, which combine outdoor core themes and thus form an agile network of outdoor experts. Here, mountaineering meets trekking, climbing and bouldering. In the world next door, the bridge is built between urban lifestyle, activity and fashion. Another product world will be dedicated to the outdoor lifestyle, including camping and adventure travel. The perfect opportunity to network, try things out and discover outdoor trends.

In addition, sports enthusiasts and outdoor connoisseurs will find the innovations and visions of the industry in the theme worlds. From new products to sustainability and regenerated value creation: this is where mega trends are discussed, responsibility is taken and new visions are triggered.

What exhibitors say about their participation:

"I think that OutDoor by ISPO is clearly the most important tradeshow for the outdoor industry. There is no better place to meet with decision makers, see upcoming trends and also do some business."

Outnorth | Stefan Gustafsson, Brands & Sustainability Manager

“As the leading international trade fair, OutDoor by ISPO will play an important role in the areas of information, innovation and personal exchange.
Planning sales, allocating purchasing budgets, recognising trends and networking in the industry are sufficient arguments to be present at OutDoor by ISPO 2022.”

ASMAS Verband Sportfachhandel Schweiz | Peter Bruggmann, President

“We welcome the early timing and hope to use the fair for inspiration and to get an overall view of the collections before ordering. After the long period of digital encounters with our brand partners, we are looking forward to the direct and personal exchange.”

Globetrotter Ausrüstung GmbH | Chantal Caron, Head of Assortment Buying, Assortment & Purchase Manager

Trade Fair visits remain relevant to connect with the industry. Digital meetings were a blessing during the Covid peak and remain valuable for the future, but also people need physical meetings to strengthen the relationships.
At trade shows, you get an overview of the innovations and the directions the brands are taking at product level (f.e. the ranges for women specific and out leisure) within a few days and we expect to see a clear sustainability direction from the brands at the fair, which is a focus given our OutdoorRetailer Climate Commitment.
Bringing the OutDoor by ISPO and ISPO fair dates forward is an important decision to keep the fair relevant, because of the increasingly early order deadlines for the brands. The rescheduling allows the fair to maintain its inspirational character and, as a result,  the relevant innovations can be integrated into the buying plan. At the same time, we are reaching the limits of the early order deadlines – after all, you need a representative sales period to make the right purchasing decisions for the next season.
