Since early 2023, the European Outdoor Group (EOG) and the Bundesverband der Deutschen Sportartikel-Industrie (BSI) have been running a Sustainability Data Exchange Project (SDEX).The project addresses the problematic situation around the exchange of sustainability data at product level between brand and retail. Currently, in most cases, extensive Excel spreadsheets and questionnaires must be filled out for each product and for each trading partner.

Overall, this process is very time-consuming for all parties involved due to duplicated work steps. As part of the work, we have developed a harmonised SDEX questionnaire to facilitate data exchange. The questionnaire was officially launch in July 2023 and has seen a widespread uptake from the industry.

The questionnaire was reopened in early 2024 and now, following a period of feedback and engagement from retail and brand partners, the SDEX questionnaire has been updated.The new version will be officially released during a webinar and we would like to invite all industry and retail partners to join us, regardless of whether they have already used the SDEX questionnaire before or not.

The webinar will take place on Wednesday 24th July at 15:00 BST / 16:00 CEST (1hour)

During the event we will present the changes made to the questionnaire, give an overview of the next steps and have time to answer questions from the participants.
